Andrew Morrell
Andrew has over 22 years of experience working in the financial services industry. He has built a reputation in the financial advice sector as being the ‘go to guy’ when it comes to pensions and he helps a lot of other financial advisers with the more technical aspects of complex advice cases. Andrew has several financial advisers as clients, as well as pension fund trustees and trustees of charitable trusts, however, the vast majority of his clients are personal clients that have little to no experience of pensions or investments.
Andrew advises clients on a wide range of products and solutions, helping them to navigate through their financial journey and achieve their goals – from their first mortgage, right through into retirement and all the investment decisions along the way. Over the last 17 years he has specialised in the more technical areas of financial advice, with a focus on pensions, however, we look after all of our customers with the same diligence from those with very simple needs to those with very complex needs.
Of course, every client is unique, and so his approach is entirely personal; the aim is to get to know each individual and understand what’s important to them. We have excellent relationships with professional firms such as accountants, solicitors and estate agents meaning that you can also benefit from a network of trusted professionals.
In addition, it’s very important for you to be aware of the significant changes that have taken place over the last few years across the financial services sector. In particular, that each regulated financial adviser now has to hold much higher levels of qualification than ever before. In addition to passing the new exams, we must also hold a current “Statement of Professional Standing” (SPS Certificate). This not only indicates that we have signed up to a code of ethics but also that we have completed at least 35 hours of professional training each year, to stay up to date with changes in the industry, taxation and regulation. Andrew’s SPS Certificate provides positive re-assurance to clients that not only is he authorised by our Regulator (The Financial Conduct Authority) but also appropriately qualified and up to date.
