November kicked off with lots of annual review meetings, and a couple of presentation meetings which I had yet to witness. It was great to see how Andrew approached this style of appointment, as it was something I was completely unfamiliar with after working as a paraplanner for most of my career in financial services. Although at this point, I realised that I had a lot to learn in terms of presenting information to clients in a digestible way, as opposed to the usual technical jargon that I was familiar with using as a paraplanner.

We also had the annual Personal Finance Society (PFS) conference down at the ICC in Wales, which Andrew, Victoria, and I went on a 5-hour road trip to attend! This was a brilliant experience that involved speakers and presentations from many different people in the sector, from investment managers, technology companies and many others.

I met a lot of great people at the event, ranging from experienced advisers and business owners, to new advisers like myself, and we shared a lot of great ideas and experiences which was invaluable.

Victoria and I also attended a technical insight event held in Newcastle, which was all about developing technical knowledge in less practiced areas of financial planning (but still extremely important ones!).
